ShenzhenDashahe Cultural and Sports Center

Dashahe Cultural and Sports Center is located between the Liuxiandong Headquarters Base and Tanglang Mountain Park. The surrounding natural resources are rich. It is a prelude to the urban space entering the natural environment and an important cultural node on the Dashahe Ecological Corridor. The mountain-shaped building outline metaphors the continuation of the Tanglang Mountain landscape, and the interaction with the Dasha River Ecological Corridor forms a dialogue between the building and the 'mountain' and 'water'. The project gathers different types of entertainment activities, functions include: fitness, sports, entertainment, and cultural facilities. It is a diversified new cultural and sports center that meets the needs of different age groups and people. It is connected with health, green and culture. An active and interesting urban space. The plan takes 'pleats' as the core design concept, and squeezes and raises the volume to create a continuous building form inside and outside. The pleat processing of the building form derives multi-dimensional elevation ramps, roof walks and other spatial node elements, forming a roaming experience space.
