FoshanSanshui New City Cultural Center

Sanshui New City Cultural Center is located in the water courtyard of Sanshui New City, across the lake from the business center. The projects are all built in the base to create an open, close to people, serving the public, and a rich life cultural complex in line with the cultural characteristics of Sanshui. The site is located on the green axis of the new city, and it is the starting point of the design to maximize the feedback of open space to the city. The mirror square and the boat square were set up by using the terrain height difference. The Mirror Square is located on the platform to meet the needs of venues, festivals and gatherings. In view of the hot climate of Lingnan, the Mirror Square is uniquely equipped with a shallow pool and atomizer, which can effectively adjust the microclimate of the site. The Fangjian Square is seamlessly connected to the Shui Ting Park, connecting the major venues with the lakeside leisure business. An all-weather semi-outdoor cultural and leisure street is created through arcades, sunshades, and corridors, where citizens can spend a wonderful and fulfilling weekend.

Sanshui New City Cultural Center City continues the water tradition of the new city and proposes the idea of Fangjian. In addition to adopting Lingnan-style architectural techniques, Fangjian incorporates the intent of a scroll of traditional Chinese paintings of mountains, waters, islands, cities, and continents. From the other side of the lake, one can clearly distinguish the long scrolls on the building composed of various venues. Many semi-outdoor spaces suitable for humid subtropical climate are created, and modern architectural vocabulary is also used in the shape to interpret traditional Lingnan culture.
